John, would you mind posting some pictures of your puller? Where does it attach? Many thanks, Koen Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: JohnMillham on 21 April, 2019, 08:58:10 AM It fits in place of a wheel, having a right-hand thread in one side and a left-hand thread in the other.
Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: Dikappa on 21 April, 2019, 11:47:24 AM Brilliant! That was what I was wondering about, the two threads....maybe a good addition to the consortium tools list? I just ordered the tool for the front suspension, and it is extremely well done for a very decent cost. I reckon if ten of these pullers where ordered in one go they could be made for very reasonable money...
Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: Mikenoangelo on 21 April, 2019, 06:16:54 PM Probably worth asking around other Clubs as no doubt it is a very commonly needed tool for Rudge Whitworth hubs, I know the Bugatti Owners Club have supplied them in the past - probably a bit expensive though. What about asking one of the hub manufacturers such as Orson Equipment who show such a tool on their website.

Wonder what size the thread should be . Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: the.cern on 28 May, 2019, 01:31:06 PM For my Gussie I made pullers simply by welding short bars across surplus left side and right side spinners. The bar was drilled through and a nut welded on!! A nice long bolt and the job was done!! Very simple and very cheap, what's not to like!!!!
Andy Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: DavidLaver on 28 May, 2019, 04:22:52 PM Andy - I'm going to remember that... When I do the question will be if you do, and then where they might be. Title: Re: Lambda 8th brakes Post by: the.cern on 03 June, 2019, 09:12:50 AM ...... where they might be? That is always a worry!!!!
