I'm guessing its to spin wheel nuts (or bolts) then put the bar on to tighten. It lacked a starting handle which would have been useless anyway as the engine rubber mounts were perished, letting the engine sit too low for the handle to fit. Bushes replaced and new handle now made.

Sorry forgot that point. I think it is just the Spyder which has the shaped black plastic/cardboard 'box' rather than the plastic clip together box the other Betas have which hold the tools and hence the ratchet etc are different. Peter My Fulvia 2c Berlina also has the cardboard toolbox, as well as the wheel nut spinner which is a very handy piece of kit once the wheel nuts are loose.
