Hi Jim

Thanks for that - I'll have to work out if it will fit the Augusta. The shutters on mine are absolutely mint but the thermostat fixing with the lugs which form the pivot for the operating bell crank are broken and the exit point from front of the radiator header tank soldered up. If I can I'd like to make it work again.
Cheerio

I used an Appia thermostat in my Augusta with no fiddling. Works perfectly. I got it from Don Cross many years ago but I cannot remember which series Appia thermostat was used (if indeed they vary by series!)

I'm still awaiting the leak repair job to be finished at Walkers who it seems are very busy. I won't be able to decide on the thermostat project until I find out whether the rad is repairable. Should know next week but meantime thanks to all for the info.

Mike

Sorry for the delay but is any of this a help?
I have 3 working radiator shutter actuating stats, 2 of which are Aurelia size. The slightly smaller one has no markings and is new and unused.
I also have a complete set of the fittings from the top of an Aurelia  radiator to work the shutters including the thermostat holder  and one separate thermostat holder.
Hope this helps.
Chris
