Title: Aprilia internal front door lock levers Post by: peterblenk on 11 May, 2020, 11:33:33 AM I find that the rear levers fit well, with the door trim in place, but that the fronts are an issue. First, on the driver's side, there does not appear any way to attach the lever to the mechanism, as the articulated rod that is actuated by the external key has no screw hole. Further, I found that the square end on the interior door lock was too short to reach the square female lock mechanism, once the door trim was in place. I had no problem with the rears. What have I missed?
I am still looking for the two-eyelet rear bumper hangars. Peter Title: Re: Aprilia internal front door lock levers Post by: simonandjuliet on 11 May, 2020, 12:01:51 PM Hi Peter
Not quite sure that I understand the problem. Do you mean the short levers on rear doors and passenger door (isn't one on the driver's side) ? The external door lock should be held to the outer door metal by a nut on the inside and the articulated square fits into the square hole and is not held in place by anything more Does that make sense - I can take more photos of my S2 if you wish. Photo below is a rear door - the square hole is the one you refer to ? Title: Re: Aprilia internal front door lock levers Post by: peterblenk on 21 October, 2020, 08:53:55 AM Yes, that's the hole with the square female part. For some reason, the square end of my door lock lever does not quite reach the corresponding square hole. Possibly my door cards are a bit thick. But the strange thing is that I see no way to attach the driver's side door lock lever to the mechanism. Normally, the lock lever has a recessed hole for an M4 screw, but there is nothing to screw into on my car - that is, no threaded hole in the articulated peg that is connected to the external lock itself.
