We've discussed this topic before, so if you search for series 1 Dunlop brakes, then you should find what you're looking for.
However I've had my series 1 2c for 24 years, and in that time I've never considered changing them for anything else, as long as they are maintained correctly, which is an absolute must, particularly the handbrake mechanism, they aren't a problem.
I use my Fulvia on motorways and at motorway speeds, they never caused a moment of concern driving including in the Alps or Pyrenees in that time.
I do tend to leave a bit more room than I would in a modern car, but that aside, I use them as I would any other car.

Thanks Brian. The mechanic said they need replacing , sending off to be refurbished, or getting a conversion kit for another model .

There is someone in this country where you can get them refurbished, and I understand they do a good job, not doubt someone will know who they are.
I think that is the way to go with a well proven set up.

I just had my S2 Girlings refurbished by Bigg Red in Worcester and they did a brilliant job. I'm sure they will do Dunlops as well.

Classicar Automotive in Macclesfield, Cheshire will do them.  They refurbished the Girling calipers on my S2 and did a great job.  I asked if they do Dunlops and they said yes, although prices are much higher for Dunlops as they are apparently much more difficult to work on.

I can recommend Classicar for Fulvia S2 Girling brakes, they did all mine and they are great after 8 years or more of regular use.
