Title: 403 errors Post by: Thotos on 30 January, 2022, 01:09:09 AM We've had a couple of reports from people receiving 403 errors:
403 Forbidden Access is forbidden to the requested page We are looking into the cause of this which for now seems to be very isolated. So please post here or send us an email to forum.admin@lanciamc.co.uk (forum.admin@lanciamc.co.uk?Subject=403 Error) if you are experiencing this problem and please let us know which Internet browser you were using when the problem happened. Title: Re: 403 errors Post by: lancialulu on 30 January, 2022, 08:04:10 AM Posting to confirm I experience this. Randomly this error message comes up whether I am using PC or iPad. It prevents me from using the forum or posting on it. If I go and do something else on my device (PC or iPad) later on I regain access - until the next time.
Title: Re: 403 errors Post by: Thotos on 30 January, 2022, 05:18:56 PM The problem appears to be with cookies and the way different browsers are set to handle cookies.
If you are often getting the error(s), a workaround to the problem might be to make sure have not set your browser to reject all cookies and try to enable third party cookies or stop your browser from blocking third party cookies. If you are using Microsoft Edge, then go to settings, cookies and ensure the "Block third-party cookies" is disabled (see below). If using Firefox, then under security, set Enhanced Tracking Protection to Custom and ensure that only Cross-site tracking cookies should be blocked (see below). As Firefox says, blocking all cookies will cause website to break and blocking all third party cookies may cause website to break. Similarly, if using Chrome, you can block tracking cookies for incognito mode but ensure third-party cookies are not blocked in normal browsing. |
