Title: Flavia Milleotto column shift gear linkgae bush
Post by: Woodyrvf750 on 03 May, 2022, 07:09:17 PM
This is a photo of the gear linkage for my Flavia Milleotto.

It looks like there should be a bush of some sort preventing the amount of free play there currently is. One bush each end of this connecting rod.

Any ideas what should be here, or where I can get one.
.I've asked Colin of the Consortium and he's not able to help

...or is this the job that justifies "just a small" lathe?

Amazing how cheap the imports have got, for all something too big for what it does and likely a whole project all on its own it what I'm drawn to.

All now sorted by Andrew at Omicron.  Likely item #5 in this diagram which is basically a rubber gromet.  Although my car looks to me like it takes 4 in total, rather than the 2 shown in the diagram.

Looks identical to the column gearchange on my Fulvia 2c.
One part that can cause a lot of grief is the plastic? Bush item 27, these disintegrate, and you lose the ability to change gear.
I got hold of about a dozen of these from Cavlito about 20 years ago, most of these have been used or distributed to Fulvia 2c friends but I do have at least one that could be used as a pattern if required.
Going by the size of the bag full of these Enriico brought out when I asked if he had any, I suspect there's still a very good supply available!
I also have a spare item 1 and 18
