Title: Show us your Flaminia
Post by: Mitka on 04 December, 2022, 08:39:05 PM
Hi fellow Flaminia owners! Hope you are well

I got my 1960 PF coupe spring last year! My first Lancia..
This car was sold new in Italy and in 2008 sold to my friend In Denmark,
It was more or less restored in his ownership and drives fantastic!

If anyone has the correct hood stick and rear window inner trim spare, please let me know:)

By a stroke of madness I acquired a second Flaminia last month… it’s a project… but not hopeless and I’m exited to get it going again.

It would be fun if people could add a photo and a little history this page😀

That's a stunning coupe, I hope you can get the Berlina to something like that standard.

Here's mine, as it arrived and after I'd given it a clean and replaced the missing bits from parts I'd collected for EJJ (sitting next to it under a tarp). A long running family probate problem is preventing me from spending the funds needed to restore it.

Mitka, the car under the tarp is the one that went to Martin Buckley and was subsequently stripped and crushed, it really wasn't realistically saveable. Martin probably has a stock of used spares.

Some lovely cars there guys.
I've been holding back on showing mine, well at least until the club magazine was out!
Yet to be decided, mended by me or someone else..

That looks great in white Charles!

Yes that’s a project and a half Kevin! I know of a good rustrfree body, but lacking in parts.. the two would make a great car!

Thanks for starting this thread Mitka.
Here is my 1960 PF Coupé. Imported by me to Ireland from Belgium in 2021 it was originally registered in Lisbon, Portugal.
Charles' (MLE139L) car was at one stage owned by my friend Jim McCann, although he never registered it in Ireland.

So Flaminia spent 101 days in one of the worst garages in the U.K. but I have had a trick up my sleve!  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204293620488?hash=item2f90d94308:g:RfoAAOSwO9Zj~zvW

I remember that stage well, being on my third rough, non runner Flaminia Berlina, the first two having not been saveable. I shall be fascinated to follow your progress.

The thin chrome trim between the front bumper and bodywork has a sponge rubber seal against the body which holds moisture. It could be a good idea to have the bumper off and remove that trim so you can stop further deterioration.
