Title: Dellortos Post by: Derek Creasy on 01 February, 2023, 10:48:32 AM I have just acquired a pair of 35 Dellortos for my 1.3 Sport . Does anyone know the standard jet sizes please so that I can check when I strip them .
Title: Re: Dellortos Post by: nistri on 01 February, 2023, 11:02:29 AM Well done, a very wise purchase. Note that there were 2 types of 35mm Dellortos for Fulvia: one for saloon and one for coupe (and sport). If you are lucky, the carbs should still wear a metal tag with their identification number. However, the tag is often missing. The coupe has a 112 max jet while the saloon has 108. Moreover, the coupe type has 31 venturi diffusor while the saloon has 29. Please note that all these carbs have needle valves with a fine rubber tip: this is to ensure highly accurate function on the float, but the tip can wear down thus giving carburetion problems. Check that in your carbs the tip is sharp. Balancing them needs a flow meter and vacuum meters. Andrea

They do indeed retain the tag and it reads R5217P which I hope you can identify ? I will definitely check the needle valves when I strip them tomorrow. Thanks Richard , I do have one but 2 might be handy Title: Re: Dellortos Post by: nistri on 01 February, 2023, 07:47:32 PM Hi Derek,
the number quoted by you (R5217P) indeed indicates a coupe set of Dellortos. P stands for rear carb, ie near the ignition coil. I am sure you will enjoy the superior quality of the Dellortos if correctly set up.
