Title: Fulvia re-entered production? Post by: Jai Sharma on 16 February, 2023, 05:26:40 PM I noticed the numbers on how many left have greatly increased over the last ten years - from a quick estimation they have more than doubled. I suppose Lancia have not dusted off the old tooling and re-started production on the quiet, which means a lot more cars are restored and in use, which is encouraging.

I could not just leave it in the garage…… Title: Re: Fulvia re-entered production? Post by: SanRemo78 on 17 February, 2023, 08:17:08 AM I wonder how many of them are UK cars returning to the road after restoration (Norm Thomas) and how many are fresh LHD imports - Fulvia Classics seem to be bringing in a car a month or so?
Title: Re: Fulvia re-entered production? Post by: Wangler on 17 February, 2023, 09:12:11 AM I would think that most are LHD imports from relatively dry sunny Italy with the occasional RHD South African assembled example. Although RHD is nice to have, the cost of bringing a rusty U.K. one back into use to a good standard would put off many.

Bear in mind these cars are now 50 plus years old and over 10,000 were sold in UK..... Its good news though. Maybe also as prices have gained ground on Alfa folk have started to realise what the little beauties are worth.

We bought our Fulvia in 2013... when there were 103 on the road and 61 on SORN Fast-forward to 2023, we have 260 on the road and 107 on SORN... I've put 30'000 miles on my car in those happy 10 years! She runs better than ever. |
