Title: Possible trimmer?
Post by: peteracs on 27 March, 2023, 02:51:51 PM
Hi All

At the NEC Restoration Show on the Beta stand we had a young lady come on the stand (much younger than me which I guess is not so difficult) and introduced herself as someone who worked for Aston Martin and was looking for anyone who was after interior trimming work. I said I would post it here as I have seen occasionally posts for trimmer requests.

Her details are as per the attached photo.

I have no connection with her so please satisfy your self as to whether she can do the job you need.

Peter

Thanks, Peter,
I need a bit of restiching,  and that's very convenient for me.

Did you try this trimmer Brian?
I want to get a mohair tonneau made for Jacky's B24S Convertible using the existing PVC one as a pattern as its correct and in good order.
Not sure where to go in the S of England these days.

Hi Chris,
I contacted the lady but I haven't got around to taking my seat cushion to her so she can have a look.
She sounds like she knows what she's doing.

Chris, if he is still in business, you could try Brian Cates - he was highly recommended, based in Christchurch, Dorset. Contact details: zagatoseven@hotmail.com, tel. 01202 593067. Colin

He does fine work for me. He has moved down the road to Wimborne!

Brian has done a lovely job on Jacky's B24S new tonneau cover in black mohair. She is very pleased as am I.

The mark on the tarmac under the front bumper is not from Jacky's  B24S!
And apologies for the incorrect orientation. Not sure why that happened.

Was there a solution to the disorientation?

Yes, I would like to know why some pictures suffer the incorrect orientation as it has happened to me for no apparent reason, in mine it was 180 degrees out not 90 as Chris's.

I removed Chris's original photos, then rotated/cropped the copies,  saved then reattached them

I have resized and reposted. Still not always working.
Should this be in a separate thread until resolved? OK when viewing image in full size but not in reduced form as required to enable initial posting.

Not sure how to link my post, and off topic from this trimming thread.

The most recent post in my 'flaminia' thread has an image of a seatbelt guide. This image appears in one direction initially and differently when clicking on the image details.

Thanks for your offer of assistance,

  Richard
