Title: Aurelia and Flavia at Anglia Car Auctions 4-5 November
Post by: CesareFerrari on 28 October, 2023, 12:06:00 PM

Looking at the Anglia Car Auctions website for the auction on 4-5 November 2023 I see that 2 Lancias have just been added-

Aurelia B10- looks like a possibly affordable chance to own an Aurelia, estimate to follow says the site;

Early Flavia Berlina- looks a beauty, estimate £5000-7000.

The ad for the November sale shows it to have lost the competition style add-ons, to have had some paint done, and to have been registered in Great Britain.

Ex Peter Baker Flavia I think. Really nice car that was for sale on here?

The Aurelia appears to be still available but the Flavia is shown as sold for £4,644 incl premium. A bit of a bargain hopefully secured by someone on here or about to appear on here.

"Never raced or rallied" as the old adverts would say, but its been to Monte as a press car and done a few hillclimbs.  He's onto his second Daimler now.  The Appia he had was my favourite of the cars he competed with.  Last time I saw him at Prescot he was in an MG...estate car...

Nice little mark up on that from when the hammer went down.

I thought that Flavia looked familiar!
Trouble is for a dealer trying to make a profit, which I don't begrudge them doing in any way, is that the car will always be known by the likely people to be in the market for buying it, not like it won't have gone un-noticed.
Still a very pretty car and as it's now available to buy from a car dealer rather than an auction at least there is some comeback available to the purchaser rather than from the auction - "you bid, you buy, you own it" which some people would worry about.
Hope it finds a good home
