People still talk of the Audi as being the best this and that but in reality it never really did that well. Others like Peugeot and later on Lancia did the 4WD job much better, the Audi's never had good handling being an understeering car, albeit they were really the first to look into the benefits on all wheel drive. However, the longitudinal powertrain of the Audi constrained the front-rear balance and therefore the transverse orientation cars out-ran the Audis.

She briefly dove a Stratos, either as a privateer or for Fiat (I forget which), but she gained most of her fame driving the Quattro. Walter Röhrl and others who made sexist comments about her back in the day have now admitted that they were wrong to do so.
