Depending on how much abuse your eng8ne has had the tops of some of the valves may have mushroomed and will not pull through the valve guide before a bit of grinding
Title: Re: Valve removal Post by: Spider2 on 16 December, 2023, 07:47:24 PM Will get one, and thanks for the tip on the valve heads. I managed to get the plugs out of the crank shaft today. I was told that I would be amazed at the gunk inside. I was gobsmacked! Solid black solidified oil that need scraping out. The engine is only 60,000 miles, I am surprised any oil got to the bearings at all.
