Title: RHD Appia SIII at Brightwells, no reserve Post by: GerardJPC on 01 March, 2024, 09:46:31 AM https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic-auctions/2636-06-Apr-2024/5111~1-1961-lancia-appia-series-iii-saloon
La Vera Lancia! RHD, in the old Lancia manner, but not a UK car, it appears. MY LHD Appia was probably sold to a German buyer. Is it relatively straight-forward or a paperwork nightmare? And do you get an age appropriate number as it's pre letter/symbol age? Guessing it's a recent import so an unknown history? Does look a nice thing though, anybody know of it? Title: Re: RHD Appia SIII at Brightwells, no reserve Post by: mikeC on 03 March, 2024, 09:25:53 AM Perfectly straightforward, Kevin. Don't waste effort using the Italian registration documents - if it's not in English DVLA will reject it. Just get an authentication letter from the Club and all will be well; DVLA will issue an age-related number based on the year of manufacture - 84886 dates the car to mid-1961 so it should be issued with a non-suffix number.

Excellent, thanks Mike. I'll keep my eye on it, will try and get a look at it beforehand as pictures don't always tell all the truth!
