Title: 123 ignition
Post by: DavidG on 30 July, 2024, 11:35:39 AM
Hello all,

I would like to fit 123 ignition to my flaminia 2.5 3B but it seems that the switched version (least expensive) only supports single carb engines. The Bluetooth tuneable version (most expensive) seems to be the only other option. Apart from the cost the problem I have is that I cannot find an advance curve for the 3B engine. does anyone have this or experience of 123 ignition on 3B?

Thanks
David

Thanks Clarkey,

They seem to have the USB tune version, which I thought was discontinued, but very similar price to the bluetooth.

I am told it's better to buy direct from 123 ignition DE

Hi David

This is the standard advance curve that you asked for…….” 823.00 to 823.10” for your 2.5 3B

Hi, I fitted the basic 123 Ignition to a single carb Flaminia and the only things I learnt from experience were; 1). Double check you haven't fitted it 180 degrees out - its quite easy to do that, and 2). don't use iridium spark plugs. I had awful problems with bad combustion until I asked advice from the designer of the 123 Ignition, who simply said "Use the original spec spark plugs". I put back in NGK equivalents to the Champion N10s (I think ) and it ran perfectly.
