Title: 2000HF front panel beside inner headlights…colour?

Hi
My recently acquired 2000HF needs a fair bit of work. One thing is that the previous owner had not painted the bits next to the front grille, around the headlights. I know it should be black but is it a glossy black, matte or satin type of finish? Could be something else of course, is it the same colour as the grille?
Any help would be great thanks

Hi,
Based on an old sales brochure, they have a black enamelled look to them - I have a 2000HF - on mine they are black (but a bit worse for wear!)

Thanks for your reply...much appreciated, I have the brochure too but it's quite faded so was unsure...I think you may well be right...kind regards
