Title: Paint code Post by: fozy on 09 September, 2024, 09:48:57 PM Hello I am looking for guidance as to the colour of my 1975 Fulvia Coupe S3, at the moment the car is not road worthy so I suppose I could take the boot lid off and take that to the shop, however I have seen a couple of possibility's on line ie Grigio Escoli Metalizato 135 or 235? both are silver metallic of mid seventy's cars and I am wondering if these two silver colours are about it for that period as the pictures I have seen look very similar to my one ( silver that is ) I cant find any stickers with code numbers inside the door jamb or boot, Thanks

Title: Re: Paint code Post by: lancialulu on 10 September, 2024, 06:59:16 AM More correctly Fulvia 3 (not S3) had Grigio Escoli metallic paint code IVI 316.603. There is no Lecler Lancia paint code, nor are there and other metallic grey or silver for Fulvia 3. I you have a good example of original paint on your car the best is to get it scanned. I.V.I. disappeared long time ago as did all formulas of period paint.
Title: Re: Paint code Post by: fozy on 10 September, 2024, 08:22:56 AM Thanks to everyone for your sugestions and help, I am prety sure more or less every pannel has been painted over the years so i will probably have to go for a best guess, I didnt know ther could be a sticker in the glove box, I will investigate further.
Thanks Title: Re: Paint code Post by: fozy on 10 September, 2024, 08:40:47 AM Thank you for your help, this is my first experience with classic cars so not familiar with such difficulty's of matching obsolete paints. Thanks again.
Title: Re: Paint code Post by: Keithver on 16 September, 2024, 11:35:21 AM I have posted a colour chart for Fulvias in the technical section on page 3. It gives a couple of options for Grigio Escoli

So far as I know my S3 is Bronzo Windsor, but when I bought a touch up set from Germany with the name “Lancia 134 Bronzo Windsor” it was way out. A method that’s often used is to of take off the petrol filler flap and take that to a car paint supplier with a scanner - assuming you like the colour of the flap! I've been trying to find a local supplier with a scanner without luck so far. Does anyone know of one in Yorkshire?
