That symbol signifies the Radio and on some of the wiring diagrams has an earth shown. I guess the icon represents a speaker.

Thanks William, there are a couple of V dilapidated speakers in a box, just one normally as per diagram?

Why would you want a radio when you have the engine to listen to?

Good question, but I can always turn it off!

And originality?

Originality: please use only the period radio! Anything else destroys the vision of the dashboard!

And I agree with Chris - in a B12 (as in any Aurelia) you do not need a radio. Your wife can listen to her music on her smartphone!

One speaker is in passenger footwell and the other is on the rear parcel shelf. I fitted new speakers in the foot well as there is a provision for a speaker on the otherside and the are just like Lancia intended i.e. discrete behind a panel not surface mounted.

By the way I have an original Condor auto tune radio...

Don't go drilling a hole in your soon-to-be pristine bodywork for an aerial for your radio.
My Flavia coupe has a 'HARADA' powered antenna which is stuck to the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror. They are on the Internet.
It is about 12" long and has a central capsule which houses its electronics. A lead is run down behind the windscreen trim to the radio and a source of 12v.
I find it quite sensitive on the AM bands.
I have a similar antenna in my B12 but I had to fit it to the rear window because it was in my line of vision. This one is made by BOSCH. However, the B12 plays far more melodious music than any AM radio station!

Brian, sorry to say but the B12 was drilled previously! As it's a period radio, I suspect it was a very expensive option in it's day, I'd gotten a period aerial some years ago, it's in much better nick than the radio, unfortunately!

The condor autotune has a ribbed panel that matches the rest of the dash.

As in this pic, if you can use your x-ray specs Tim.

Your Condor is original, and looks fine. You just need to find someone to restore it. Some other Aurelia owners have had good experiences with Italian radio restorers, maybe they will chime in! I would not use a Blaupunkt in an Italian car of the fifties.

I used Agenta Audio - ask for Colin

https://agentaaudio.com/

He transformed my non working 2 box Autotune to a one box FM, AM and he managed to get the electro mechanical auto tune to work with his chip.

Plus a decent power output...

Had a reply from them, he thought mine might well be too far gone, and it's pretty expensive, so it may well be" Radio Aurelia V6 "  for me in the interim!
