Title: Looking for an unusual wiper turret

Take a look at the picture please. That's the right windshield wiper turret on my Series 2 B20. I'm trying to find one for the left side. I've been assured by several knowledgeable sources that it is NOT original. So....what IS it? It is very unusual to my mind. That chromed nut screws UP into the wiper arm, pulling the arm down firmly on that brass 'ball" which is firm on the shaft. On what kind of car might I find a wiper turret like this? Any help greatly appreciated.
