Hi. Does anyone have any tyre recommendations for hill climb use on a Fulvia? I would need them to be road legal - good in the wet and I'm more interested in finishing in one piece than getting the best time.
The car has 175/70 R13 on at the moment, and it feels like it leans a bit around corners - so I wondered whether a shorter wall might improve things - like maybe 185/60. It's geared quite high, so a slightly smaller diameter might help with pulling off from the line and acceleration. I've found a tyre comparison site that's quite handy for showing the overall difference in diameter and height between sizes: https://tiresize.com/comparison/
Also - as the car has been set up for rallying, it might sit a bit high. Is there a procedure to alter the pre-load of the springs or other ways to adjust ride height? Are different grades of spring available?
Thanks for any advice or opinions.
Justin.
