Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: Neil on 01 October, 2009, 07:25:50 AM Weren't the LMC consulted?
Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: j886atv on 01 October, 2009, 08:01:21 AM At the end of the article LMC gets the first thanks - so I guess someone from here must have helped
Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: fensaddler on 01 October, 2009, 08:16:02 AM That's great stuff. There's so much flak (possibly unwarranted) flying around about us missing the boat on media opportunities at the moment that its good to know there is a good news story as well. And at least we've got recognition where we've been involved, unlike the recent article on the Delta 30th in Auto Italia.
Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: Dilambdaman on 01 October, 2009, 01:01:59 PM Why would LMC be consulted? We keep a very low profile and if VL is not missing something, we have no PR person. Sitting smugly back expecting to be the first port of call for all things Lancia is a delusion of grandeur. First rule of publicity is let people know on a regular basis who you are and what you do. Until the LMC gets out there and struts it's stuff no one will know or care and rivals will 'steal the march' every time.

Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: sparehead3 on 01 October, 2009, 03:44:38 PM I was recently in Greece looking to hire a car ... flicking through the "Classic Car" mags on the desk there was the issue with Andy, Tony and Chris showing off their cars .... ( it was a 2007 issue and Andy's dream was to own a Delta 1500 :) )
You can't get away from it ! I saw a least 2 Dedras being used to store paint (pots) ... Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: ncundy on 01 October, 2009, 08:30:49 PM Speed is of the essence with this tho' Chris as I hear Harriet Harman is attempting to ban airbrushing touch ups of male models in photos. And Chugga, thin models are so last season so you'll have to kick the diet I'm afraid. I'm back up to pie and chips twice a week to maintain my figure should I ever receive the call - we owe it to Chris to be prepared ;D

I'm just amazed that they managed to leave Fulvia out of the article, come on! how can you leave Fulvia out of an article Dedicated to Sharper Style, Clever Engineering, and Dynamic Flair ??? Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: Kevin MacBride on 20 October, 2009, 01:41:45 PM I liked the last line.....'the Aurelia is all the car you'll ever need'...and to think I nearly bought a Borgward Isabella !!!
Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: DavidLaver on 20 October, 2009, 11:56:38 PM All the car YOU ever need - but try convincing the rest of the family :-\ David Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: Scarpia on 31 October, 2009, 09:23:14 AM the photography is very nice; article is mayby a little lacking in substance but it's a pleasant surprise to get such a broad overview in the mainstream press. And Brian was right, its amazing they didn't include the fulvia but strangely I didn't notice till he mentioned it.Usually its the only lancia these magazines seem to recognise but now they've even discovered the Aprilia....
What's going on? Why are Lancia suddenly getting so much attention..top gear etc.It seems suspicious to me; are Fiat about to try and sell it off and this is all pre marketing for the brand..... Title: Re: Classic Cars Magazine feature on Lancia Post by: AStacey on 20 November, 2009, 07:49:31 PM Classic cars is a Peterborough based concern. The Cliff's are in Norfolk. Almost all the articles I have seen, both in this and the Teddington Middlesex based, Haymarket owned, Classic & sports car, have used cars supplied by Omicron. If your in the media, as I was, you use those you know, and who will deliver the goods, on time, with the minimum of fuss. Once you get a good name for this, then you will be called upon first. The HF used in September's issue was one of Martin's as well.
So there you go guys, less online arguing amongst ourselves, more getting out there and raising our profile. Like membership, 'Build it and they will come' !
