Brian 8227 8) Hi Brian, thanks for asking. Got back yesterday after a couple of weeks in France only to discover that the front wheels have not been sorted and the new tyres not fitted. Disappointing to say the least as I was so looking forward to using her this weekend. Robin. Title: Re: Astura Saloon For sale Post by: fay66 on 24 October, 2009, 10:58:06 AM >:( :o ??? :'(
Title: Re: Astura Saloon For sale Post by: Sliding Pillar on 29 October, 2009, 08:14:31 AM Its sold for £32,000, well below the £40-60K estimate, someone got a bargain!
Title: Re: Astura Saloon For sale Post by: Sebastien on 29 October, 2009, 07:09:34 PM For the record, it was sold previously at the Monaco sale of Bonhams, 16 May 2005, for € 52.900.
That was the sale in which the Cima collection was sold, including the metallic green B24 spider, and the Aurelia Giardinetta. It has not changed much since then, and I wonder how many miles it has done in 4 years. It is certainly a fine original and unrestored early Astura saloon, at an interesting price, but what do you do with it after purchase? Put it in your museum? Drive it? Restore it? I just hope no one is going to think that he got a bargain price complete Astura chassis, which he can rebody with a rakish 2 seater open body of unknown origins to resell at great profit. |
