It's been on pistonheads a few times over the past months. Biggest downside it has done over 200k miles. I called the bloke about it. In saying that, it looks ok, and did have a new Lancia engine 50k miles ago. Worth a punt at £1500 or so I should think.

I've somewhat rashly taken a punt at this one and am hoping to become the proud but nervous new owner next week. Everything seems to work(at the moment) except the air-con which has been disconnected. The car could do with some general tlc and the interior is very tired but maybe salvageable with a lot of elbow grease. If not then I'm hoping the consortium might have four decent beige alcantara seats that I could fit.
If the weather does'nt deteriorate any further then I'm planning to drive it from its present home near Kidderminster to Suffolk  so that should throw up any issues that did'nt manifest themselves on the test drive!!! Better make sure I've got my RAC card with me.
Happy and trouble free lancia motoring for 2010. Regards, Murf

Hello, The Thema Consortium certainly did have some pretty decent tan alcantara seats from a Series 2 car. Slightly different stitching pattern on the seat squab, but if you change them all it won't matter.

We did have some interest in the seats, but I think the enquiry came from someone who didn't want to do a complete interior change from blue to tan and he didn't proceed.

If you send me your email, I can send some pictures of the seats as they were when still fitted to the car.

Worth having, looks good and is the Ex Gianni Agnelli LX car.
Got to be worth the £4995 asked. ;D

It is a lovely car and exceptionally rare in LX trim. Rumoured only 20 were made, but I have never been able to verify. I know the owner of the car and would jump at it myself except I just can't justify it as we have 2 estates just now and this one would have to be an occasional car.

The current owner has done a lot of work on the car and it will be a fantastic buy for anyone. I would trust him to give an honest description and would assure any potential buyer that they could buy unseen in confidence.

Well the SW made it back to Suffolk in spite of the awful weather and misc electrical glitsches that did'nt show up when I test drove it. It certainly picks up above 4k and handles well thanks to konis/eibach springs and stops much better than my series 1 so I'm delighted but slightly anxious about what it will cost to de-bug the electrical problems. My previous experience tells me that tracing faults is a time consuming/ expensive business but understanding what goes where and why has never been one of my strengths. One particular mystery is the fact that the odometer does'nt seem to register although it has moved since collecting the car last week. I estimate that I've done about 700 to 800 km since last Tuesday but according to the  gauge I've only travelled 84. Any suggestions?

Murf.

Hi Pete,

I can probably find you a speedo to replace it with, but it will be in MPH rather than KM.

What is your approximate mileage so that I can (maybe) get you one that shows something true to the cars actual distance covered.

Please list the glitches as I'm sure we can all help out with this if we combine our Thema heads!

Mike

Thank you Gents for your support. I'm hoping to give the car a thorough going over at the weekend and will try to list everything thats not working.
With regard to present mileage (the odometer is reading 27,788 km) which I assume means that the car has been round the clock twice ie 200,000 km so its hardly surprising that my list could end up being quite lengthy.
It looks a though the smarter seats will have to go on hold!!!

Hi Pete,

Just saw this on the Thema Dedra Consortium website. You might get some decent interior bits cheap here!

Many thanks Mike, I will call the guy to see what he still has on offer. Weather permitting I'm hoping to devote some time tomorrow to making a comprehensive list of everything that needs fixing.
