Title: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: fensaddler on 08 January, 2010, 08:26:30 PM Anyone out there able to advise on Flaminia values?
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: frankxhv773t on 08 January, 2010, 10:10:34 PM Sore point! I can tell you a Sedan needing restoration isn't worth a lot. Other models turn up in the classic car press pretty regularly so it shouldnt be difficult to get an idea. £10-12,000 for a 'farina Coupe, £20-25,000 for a touring and £60,000 for a Zagato perhaps?
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: frankxhv773t on 09 January, 2010, 09:17:46 AM "Classic Cars" price guide in October suggests; saloon £7,000, coupe £15,000, GT/GTL £20,000, convertible £32,500, sport zag. £75,000.
Now all you need is someone who really knows what they are talking about! ;D Good luck. Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: ColinMarr on 09 January, 2010, 11:56:45 AM Just how long is that piece of string?
Colin Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: Sliding Pillar on 09 January, 2010, 12:30:04 PM If you want to buy any Flaminia at the moment you will find most are in mainland Europe and due to the current exchange rates you will have to pay a lot more than 'Classic Cars' guide prices. (That peice of string just got stretched!!!)
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: ColinMarr on 09 January, 2010, 01:32:14 PM Well I managed to buy this one in Belgium and I had to pay all of £250 for it, but it was some time ago.

Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: JohnMillham on 10 January, 2010, 11:07:32 AM How many miles? With seats like that? Never! It could still be a bargain, but don't expect too much. The seller shouldn't have mentioned the "mileage" at all. It's certainly worth saving.

http://www.christophgrohe.com/liste-lan-ENG.html As to "cars I wish not to have sold..." - please, no. The pain, oh the pain. Geoff Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: frankxhv773t on 10 January, 2010, 07:25:06 PM What is CHF 28,000 in your English pounds anyone?
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: fay66 on 10 January, 2010, 07:39:24 PM What is CHF 28,000 in your English pounds anyone? About £17,500! Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: frankxhv773t on 15 January, 2010, 10:37:49 PM The Sedan on e-bay has gone for just over £3,000. A lot of car for the money.
Frank Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: Sliding Pillar on 16 January, 2010, 08:31:04 AM ........but you wouldn't be able to professionally restore it for the difference between its sale price and the one for sale in Switzerland. (£14,500)
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: GG on 16 January, 2010, 10:11:22 AM The concepts of "professionally restore" and "Flaminia sedan" just don't go together. Talk about a huge hole to fill....The build quality is fantastic, but oh so many things to get right.....
Title: Re: Valuing a Flaminia Post by: Sebastien on 18 January, 2010, 09:18:59 AM If someone wants to buy a professionally restored Flaminia Berlina, he should go to Switzerland. For a very long time there has been a 2.8 Berlina in Lancia blue advertised on www.autoscout24.ch near Zurich. They quote restoration bills for 150'000 CHF (equivalent at today's rates 90'000 GBP) and ask 72'000 CHF (or 43'000 GBP) for it.
Takers, anyone? If used in the City of London, would make a change from all those Bentleys and Rolls-Royces. Check also the other Lancias available, it is interesting reading. Sebastien |
