Title: Old photo Post by: ColinMarr on 15 February, 2010, 11:14:32 PM Here’s a photo taken by Roger Perry in 1970 of the Flaminia Sport that we briefly shared – possibly taken with a Nikon FTN , or possibly a Leica M2 with long (maybe 90 mm?) Elmar lens. Either way, notice the Cartier Bresson style black-edge to show whole-frame and no cropping.

Yes, Very well known and documented Lancia Flaminia Presidentiale's, there used to be one in the Biscarreti Motor Museum in Turin, used when Queen Elizabeth II paid an official visit to Italy , and was used on many Official events by Italy's Presidents, and the various Pope's. Title: Re: Old photo Post by: frankxhv773t on 21 May, 2015, 07:32:08 PM Not in my garage but leaving my drive. A bit sad really as it was right hand drive and first owned by Alistair Mclean of Ice station Zebra etc. Later it was owned by the naval attaché in Cairo who used to drive it home across Europe and over the alps when going on leave and then by a naval officer who lived in Suffolk but commuted weekly to Faslane naval base in it.
It was acquired as a derelict by Cristo and myself with the suspension ending up with Chugga for some nefarious project. I presume the fact it hasn't got anything stacked on top of it means they are hoping somebody will rescue it. No the most elegant hearse conversion in my opinion but I wouldn't turn my nose up at going to the cemetery in the back of a Flaminia.
