Title: Ardea: more questions Post by: nistri on 28 May, 2010, 09:56:40 AM Sorry to be a pest but trying to put back onto the road a car unused for many, many years is not easy.
Two more questions: 1. am I right in assuming that in the water pump (driven by the dynamo) there is no seal to prevent spillage from the pump shaft to the dynamo? I think that the very tight fit of the shaft inside the pump plus the special grease are enough to make it leak-proof. I have seen two pumps and they are the same. Please correct me if I am wrong. 2. what is preventing the brake pedal from falling backwards towards to driver seat? I cannot see springs or clips to hold it in the resting position.
