Title: Artena cabriolet at auction in Switzerland
Post by: Sebastien on 24 November, 2010, 08:37:01 PM
Next week-end (November 28th) there is an auction sale by Oldtimer Galerie in Toffen, near Berne.
On the block an Appia berlina, a Fulvia 2nd series berlina and an 1932 Artena cabriolet with Pinin Farina body. Description is good, however I do not know the car, nor its condition.

Forgot to say that the SCAT - Ceirano S150 at the same auction is intriguing: a Lambda torpedo in miniature. With also a Bosch magdyno.

Looks like it didn't sell at auction as it is now listed for sale on their web site. http://home.mobile.de/home/showDetails.html?id=138358053&customerIdsAsString=495836&__lp=1&scopeId=AV&sortOption.sortBy=makeModelDescriptionSortField&sortOption.sortOrder=ASCENDING&makeModelVariant1.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant2.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant3.searchInFreetext=false&siteId=GERMANY&damageUnrepaired=ALSO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&export=ALSO_EXPORT&grossPrice=true&customerIdsAsString=495836&lang=de&pageNumber=1&partnerHead=true&showZip=false&showModels=false&hideVehicleType=false

My contact in Italy has responded with some more info on the Artena:-
"This car was restored at KCA worshop of Milan, in the '80s. The paint, the hood and the dashboard are very good. The problem is the upholstery, not original. The leather is uncorrect and there aren' t the seams on the seats. I know the restorer had a problem with the stuffings too. The engine: the carburettor leaks, too many sleeves and hose clamps are modern. This is a standard cabriolet, probably Pininfarina assembled it under license, but we would have to check the VIN to know something more."
