Title: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: peterbaker on 27 February, 2011, 06:28:17 PM We have asked the hotels if we can change dates re the Economy Drive but sadly no. This means two LMC events held on the same day which is a bit daft. As one of only a handful of LMC event organisers and after seven years of organising the Cotswold Economy Drive I do feel a bit miffed having to compete within my own club for supporters. Are we sure Richard cannot give us optional dates? Perhaps this thread should be moved now.
Title: Re: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: peterbaker on 07 March, 2011, 08:04:56 PM Having done everything possible to obtain a change of date but failing, the organising team have decided, that because of the amount of work involved, to run the Cotswold Economy Drive under the independent banner of Retro-Speed Magazine for 2011. Although this means it drops of the LMC calender, it does prevent any embarassing clash of dates. Nothing changes and all are welcome. I hope all members understand.

It seems that you may have got your wish, according to the calendar the driving tests and barbecue are now to be held on Monday 22nd August! Should ensure a good turn out (just like the AGM meeting!) ;). Look at the online events calendar (link at top between 'MY MESSAGES' & 'MEMBERS'). Partial screen shot below. Chris Title: Re: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: peterbaker on 08 March, 2011, 05:26:05 PM Just an admin error, now corrected, although it looks as if both events are one of the same. I did look at combining with the DT's as the CED finish, Richard said he was happy to cater for our one hundred and twenty but his establishment is sadly out of range and we had a prior commitment to Dormy House Hotel anyway. I really have tried.

Partial screen shot below. Chris Thank you for pointing out my mistake when adding the driving tests to the calendar. That is one of the problems with having numerical dyslexia which causes me to mix numbers up occasionally :-[ Title: Re: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: peterbaker on 14 June, 2011, 01:53:24 PM For those members doing the Cotswold Economy Drive (21stAugust) we can announce the International Rally Drivers Club has become our headline supporter. Title: Re: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: lancialulu on 18 August, 2011, 09:12:25 PM Is that a four door ford??
Given the rain I might bring a bin liner to protect the Dyane coil which is right at the front of the engine/bonnet!? Tim Title: Re: Cotswold Economy Drive 2011 Post by: peterbaker on 18 August, 2011, 09:43:02 PM Guess you could always use reverse. Seriously the water is not so deep. Yet!
