In the diary as I have been approached by the Brooklands Trust to have the B20 on their stand. Hope we get a good turn-out. Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: lancialulu on 12 April, 2012, 08:17:17 AM Hi Neil
I would be very interested in the track and hill. Let me know so I can decide car! Do we need crash helmets and are passengers allowed for both?? Thanks Tim Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: Neil on 17 April, 2012, 07:28:35 PM Tim, you should be able to do both, no crash helmets are required and passengers for both is usually fine, both of you need to attend the drivers briefings and get a wrist band, like the track day. Any idea which car you may bring, then I can check with the organisers.

Bit small maybe.... Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: Neil on 04 May, 2012, 01:17:17 PM Not sure if the LMC have any larger tyre warmers, probably not usually needed for AGM and club events.
Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: lancialulu on 06 May, 2012, 01:58:30 PM Made it up the hill and over the top - and then went home as it had been a long day... (actually wanted to see the FA cup final!).

Good to see everyone and have a chat!

Good to see everyone and have a chat! Thanks for organising it Neil! bit miffed Ade and myself got put in with the 500's, although we were right up with the pace car Ferrari Driven by Phil Ward, it kept slowing down to let the 500's catch up, a somewhat less than rewarding experience, I hope everyone elses laps were better. Thanks again for making the day a success Neil Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: bruciebonuz on 06 May, 2012, 06:37:50 PM Link to photos here:

Here's a shot of you at the bottom of the hill with lots of onlooking admirers. Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: nic038 on 06 May, 2012, 09:07:28 PM Some really good photo's,thanks to those for sharing them, it makes it worthwhile for us that are some distance away and struggle to get to these events.
Something about the older cars that seem to really fit in at brooklands. Was aware of a few people but didn't realise how many! What threw me was the start marshal throwing his flag across the screen and going 321. Caused some wheel spin at the bottom but managed 2nd before slowing for the top. Great day! Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Spring Italian Car Day Brooklands May 5th Post by: fay66 on 06 May, 2012, 11:27:26 PM I only managed to get 3 shots, most unusual for me!
Julian Wood and his lovely Flaminia Gt. Ralph Scott and his very very nice 2000 Coupe, There's also a shot of the interior of Dr Stuart Downwards Fulvia 1.3, his ex Bob/vivien Seaney Lime Green Fulvia that had a tremendous shock when it left a pampered home, and then found itself hurtling around race tracks! Stuart has just replaced the door drop glass with perspex which has saved a lot of weight. I did take a photo of him with the car, but I managed to cock up the lighting, considering it was with my Nokia N95 which normally takes very good photos, it came as a bit of a surprise ::) does anyone know who owned the Flavia Sport as I didn't see it come in?
