Title: Interesting Flavia Sport 1800
Post by: Sebastien on 23 November, 2011, 10:57:47 AM
On autoscout24.ch there is a nice Flavia Sport (Zagato) for sale, near Berne (Switzerland):
http://www.autoscout24.ch/Search/Detail.aspx?lng=fr&nav=7&vehtyp=10&SearchType=AS24&make=12919&allmakes=AS24&yearfrom=1930&yearto=1970&index=9&vehid=341894
When you click on the photo a gallery opens, with further images of the car.
I have never seen a Flavia Sport with such an instrument cluster, with 3 round instruments. However it looks original and unmolested.
The car also looks nice on its special Borrani wheels.

I have never seen such an instrument cluster, I think it is a non standard change as is the matching wood panel on the passenger side. Does anyone recognise the actual instruments themselves?

Instruments look to me like they are from an Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale 1600.

I think they are from an Alfa 2600. I found a few photos of their dash's on google. The Spider uses the two main dials, but I found this from a Sprint which seems likely. I found another with the same tacho redline.

Do we need a "geek of the week" prize on the forum?

According to 'Lancia 70 years of trailblazing' page 330 "The Italian firm of SVAMA offered this panel of circular instruments for 52,000Lira to exactly replace the stock item."
Mystery solved!
I claim the prize!!
