Still looking for a Flavia/2000 sedan or coupe. Don`t mind which, so long as its running. Is PZT 555 out there ?

At the time Michael was selling it along with others of his collection about 1997?  I didn't realise that PZT 555 was included in the sale, or it might not of been when I was looking, so I bought a 1969 Fulvia Series1- 1.3 Rallye Coupe off of Michael, but I always kick myself that I never got the PZT 555, as it was our dream Lancia.

I came across PZT555 in Llangollen in north wales on my way back from the Agm in 2009. The car was in great shape, inside and out very good paint work and chrome , a very well looked after example  I saw it parked at the side of the road and waited for the owner to return (like a real stalker) . He was not very fortcomong with information and was not really interested in a conversation.  The Reg number is  Dublin From around 1968. I was suprised to see it still on a Uk car. I Am going to see a white 2000HF (HMV 8N) this weekend,which sounds good, so hopefully the search may be over, but you never know.

There is a very nice dark blue coupe for sale in Hampshire. It took part in the recent Classic & Sportscar photoshoot where it looked fantastic and drove beautifully it has just had an engine rebuild. PM for more details and the owners contact details.

This car in South Africa looks very good for an asking price of £5,400 or thereabouts.  Don't know what the cost of shipping and importation might be, but perhaps £1,000 - £1,500 in all?

I'm sure Guy, St Volumex could give you an idea ;) the red one comes out at £6872, but I prefer the green one, certainly be a good idea to get someone in the SA Clubs to have a look first though.

I am currently in negotiation about a red one in Turin for £7000 plus postage !

Don't forget import duty on top of the shipping from outside of the EU - and you may have some trouble convincing HMRC that this is an historical vehicle and therefore eligible for the special 5% rate...which means it would revert to full fat duty rate which could be 30% of the cost of the car plus the shipping, assuming the value of the car they agree of course (instead of one of their own valuations, which could be more, or less than what you end up paying).

Definitely worth a call to them to clarify what you could be getting into.

An EU produced car so surely only (!) the VAT to pay?

The only way that works is if you can prove the car was sold new and registered in Europe at some point beforehand.

So did anyone on here buy that Blue Flavia Coupe that was on ebay? I saw that the price had dropped to £9k.

A pity that these cars don't command more as they really are heads and shoulders above more expensive contemporaries like the Volvo P1800...

I put in a cheeky bid but the vendor said he'd had an offer of £7500 and was going for that.

Half price......gee.....wonder why the market for it is so weak or did the seller misjudge what the going rates are?

In that case there's not likely to be much profit margin left for me with my Flavia restoration! Might leave me with enough profit to buy a consolation bar of chocolate!
