Title: Brake pipe connections Post by: mister bridger on 15 January, 2012, 12:15:20 PM I bought new brake pipe and metric connections for my S3 Fulvia coupe but the threads are different to the existing fittings. Being Girling brakes, are these imperial connections?

I am sorry I do not know the correct spec but I had no difficulty getting them in a specialist fasteners supplier here in Dublin. All the other bolts on the Girling calipers are imperial (inch-based) sizes.

Sean Title: Re: Brake pipe connections Post by: mister bridger on 11 February, 2012, 05:39:06 PM I got some in the end at a backstreet garage where the guy used to make up brake pipes. Cleaned him out, I think!

I made up new copper pipes, went out and bought new unions in the motor factors , and do you know what ! they just diden't fit. :) Try Omicron.
