Title: Grille removal-help! Post by: bobhenry999 on 26 February, 2012, 03:26:53 PM I am trying to remove the grille and its surround from my 1963 Flavia Coupe.
I have removed the 2 screws that go through the grille from the front, and 2 more from behind that free off the top, I have taken out the radiator and moved the oil cooler to one side. The top of the grille is free, and will push in, but it is still attached somewhere at the bottom, and for the life of me I can`t see whereabouts. Please can anyone help ! Post by: Angle Grinder on 26 February, 2012, 05:30:51 PM When you say the 2 screws that go through from the front, I take it you are meaning the two bolts that you access through the slats of the grille. They attach to a metal bracket that sits in front of the Radiator?
If you've done them and the two bolts that fix the rods that attach at the top brackets of the grille, then I think you should find that it copmes free quite easily, or at least mine did. This website might help... he details removing the grille at the bottom of the page... http://restaurationflavia.over-blog.com/96-index.html (http://restaurationflavia.over-blog.com/96-index.html) Title: Re: Grille removal-help! Now its off to the chrome platers, thanks for the help, Bob |
