Title: Fitting a child seat in S2 Coupe. Post by: julian on 08 May, 2012, 11:07:12 AM Hello Gents
I’m planning to take our two year to his first car show next weekend, so need to find a safe way of securing a child seat in the back of the car (71 S2 1.3S Coupe). I’ve got a set of universal inertia belts I acquired some time ago but never fitted, and I recall the Fulvia has a set of rear anchor points, but it’s a long time since I’ve had the rear seat out. Any help / advice before I start, anyone done similar? Many Thanks Julian Title: Re: Fitting a child seat in S2 Coupe. I did this to my coupe but never used them but I used static belts...

Post by: ncundy on 08 May, 2012, 01:59:01 PM My brother has a coupe in bits at the moment so if it helps I can take some photos later in the week showing exactly where the points are, but as Tim says they are all there (threaded bosses welded in) usually with a rubber plug in so you shouldn't have any problem putting something safe in.

Thanks for the replies, it’s good to know the anchor points are all there. I’m going to pull the car out on Saturday and take a look. I don’t think mounting the belts will be too much trouble, the main issue is that I don’t want to hack bits out of the interior, as it was fully re-trimmed a few years ago and is really straight. I’ve a few ideas up my sleeve and if the worst comes to the worst I’ll strap the child seat in the front and stuff his mum in the back ;) Thanks again. Title: Re: Fitting a child seat in S2 Coupe.
