Title: Photos of Flavia from Flavia Post by: ColinMarr on 19 September, 2012, 06:08:37 PM I have just stumbled on some photos from 1991 that might be of interest. Of course it is completely irresponsible to take photos while driving and I deny ever doing it, but the photos below might suggest otherwise.
One is of Terry Brown’s Flavia saloon somewhere near Oxford on the way home from a Flavia Consortium AGM. The other was taken on the motorway there, just to show how easy it was at about an indicated 90 MPH. I notice that the oil pressure looks a bit low, but then I think it always did and nothing came of it. I've got a stainless steel exhaust on mine and I do feel that the exhaust note gets to be a bit strident at speeds over 70mph. But then my everyday car for comparison is a V6 Thema and it whispers along.

I don’t remember it being particularly noisy, but being a soft-top there was a lot of wind noise. The Kugelfischer injection system made a characteristic thrashing sound, having more moving parts than most motor cars, but it wasn’t intrusive.
