I liked the earlier bit too and that bit of film on the three-lane highway with the car popping in and out to see if it’s clear to overtake was very evocative. It took me back to the 1960s and doing just that in France and Italy in a fully laden Aprilia, when with heart in mouth I would then hang on out there for as long as I dared.

Interesting to see a 105E Anglia and a MG Magnette, although the Innocenti Austin A40 didn't come as a surprise, what were the women working on the banking up ladders doing?.Colin Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Old Italian News Reel video Post by: DavidLaver on 19 October, 2012, 10:08:37 AM On the Flavia Zagato the line alone the sill rising from mid wheel at the front to become the top of the rear arch is nice. I went looking for photos of others and concluded that was just on the show car. Am I right? Do others agree it is nicer in that film than production? David Page 386 in the 2nd edition of Lancia says it was a pre-production prototype. Brian 8227 8) |
