Title: Front wheel bearings- Rebuildable? Post by: phil-m on 13 December, 2012, 11:33:02 PM Has anyone ever rebuilt the front wheel bearings? I have what appear to be a good pair bearings in hubs but would like to strip, clean and regrease them. Having removed and stripped them down I cannot see why they cannot be rebuilt. Admittedly I have access to pretty specialist kit and specialist people ;) but has anyone else tried this?

A possible alternative to Phil's question - but proceed with caution 2 brand new Fulvia wheel bearings offered on e-bay.uk. ITEM No. 330842666290 at £16-02 each. Too good to be true? Probaly The dimension shown, are certainly not for a Fulvia and the photo is for illustration purposes only. Regards Tim Title: Re: Front wheel bearings- Rebuildable? Omicron replaced my N/S Front Wheel Bearing that suddenly started growling, putting the new one back wasn't the problem, but getting the old out was! Omicron won't even quote a time or price for the job as it depends on how long it takes them to get the old one out, in my case it was a long hard job, even with their knowledge and the right tools. And the bill still makes me wince :'( Brian 8227 8) |
