I think this is the castellated tool for adjusting the door hinges. If you can't find a use for it, then I would be a happy purchaser. The idea being to lower the car onto this tool with the other end of it resting on a bottle jack - then with lots of effort on the tommy-bar the cap should undo and allow the spring to be expanded downwards and released in a controlled way. A similar tool will do the same job on Augusta, Aurelia and probably Appia too.
