Title: Spark Plugs Post by: Chris Hopkins on 29 April, 2013, 03:30:10 PM I have been using GKN BP7ES plugs since I had my 1300 on the road in 2002. For the last couple of years although she is still great when under load and pulls like a train, she sounds lumpy when idling and carbons up the plugs after a few hundred miles. She does not appear to use much oil and although the tail pipe is black, she does not smoke.

I use the NGK iridium plugs successfully in all the Fulvias. For the 1300 my suggestion is :- NGK BPR7EIX. (The NGK heat numbering system means that a plug '6' will be hotter than a '7', so that would account for the suggestion to use to prevent fouling.
