Title: Plural of "Fulvia" Post by: davidwheeler on 13 July, 2013, 02:43:13 PM On another posting I wrote of "Fulvii" intending to mean more than one. This is, of course, absurd as "-i" is second declension genitive whereas "Fulvia" is first declension (feminine). The correct plural is, therefore, "Fulviae". Confusingly, this is also the genitive singular (i.e. belonging to Fulvia). Also dative singular, vocative plural.

In Italian "Fulvia'' would be invariable, but an accompanying article would be feminine plural as in "le Fulvia", feminine because a Fulvia is a "vettura" by the way, and not a commonplace "macchina".
