Title: S2 1600 Zagato, 14x6 Cromadoras, What tyres? Post by: MaxC on 24 April, 2014, 02:21:07 PM I've recently acquired a S2 1600 Zagato and I'm now looking for recommendations as to what tyre size is best suited to its 14x6 Cromadoras. It's currently fitted with 175/70's, but they seem to be around 30mm less diameter than the 165/80 OE tyres (on the original steel rims) and I assume this will have a lower-gearing effect, so just wondering about filling the wheel arches a bit better by stretching the 165/80's onto my 6" wheels, or maybe going 175/80's, which I guess would be my aesthetic preference? I understand 175 is the widest section possible without bodywork fouling. Any thoughts or recommendations? Cheers, Max

I suspect 175/80 would foul but not sure. I have the HF suspension set up. I was advised to fit 185 /70's as they are more or less spot on same rolling radius as the 165's but in my opinion you would lose some steering sensitivity.
