Title: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: Parisien on 28 July, 2014, 06:04:23 PM Mike is currently registering for membership and asked if I could expedite his request! I wonder if anyone can help me locate a car I was trying to buy and I got in contact with the owner on here but have since lost their details. I think they (understandably) thought I was messing them around after I had to pull out after getting a rather large bill for my then car (which I was expecting) only to find the work hadn't been carried out and it all got a little ugly with the garage. (Top tip, always pay a large bill on your credit card!) Anyway, after the best part of a year dealing with the legal aspect of the bill, everything is now sorted and am once again in the market for a car. The car I was offered was LAC 41L and would be interested in the car or, if this car is no longer available, if anyone has something similar, I'd be very interested. I hadn't thought of that method to pay a garage. I do have a car in tatty but sound and roadworthy condition which is my PF beauty. Not for sale at present. Sounds a sad story regarding the payment for work not being carried out!

Now I've read the ad properly it's actually in Sunderland, so just a bit far for a casual look. Still looks good to me though unless you find some terminal rot. I'm sure it will be snapped up quick either way. Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: DavidLaver on 31 July, 2014, 11:45:08 AM I only went to take photos and give it a prod and report back... Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: Richard Fridd on 31 July, 2014, 04:24:12 PM There is a Flavia mentioned in one of the current classic magazines. Tuscany is the location, along with a Flaminia Touring

Post by: chriswgawne on 01 August, 2014, 11:03:18 AM That's a nice looking Flavia at the Historics auction at Brooklands and I would have thought the guide price was on the low side assuming the body is straight and the car runs OK. There is also a 4th Series B20 at this auction with a guide price of £150-180k! For a mildly modified competition vehicle as well which I would have thought was worth less than a decent standard road car.
Intrigued to see what they both achieve. Chris Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: dannels on 01 August, 2014, 11:37:21 AM The Brooklands car is certainly worth that money considering it has a better (and rebuilt) engine
Love it.... now where could I hide it from my wife???? Cheers Dave Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: bobhenry999 on 26 August, 2014, 09:46:27 PM If anyone is looking to buy the one at auction at Brooklands, its worth noting that it has the wrong dash.
Its a 1963 car so should have the ribbon speedo. Only a small point but worth knowing, it does look nice though, and i don`t believe it will be that cheap. Bob Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: ITSA on 01 September, 2014, 11:22:18 AM It wasn't that cheap. Recorded as sold for £13,440 on the Historics site.

I like the way that Sports Car Market describes this kind of pricing as being 'ahead of the market', as if all the market ever does is rise. Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: Neil on 01 September, 2014, 01:06:12 PM Also the Fulvia did not sell and the Delta HF Turbo went for £7.7k.
Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: chriswgawne on 01 September, 2014, 01:38:49 PM From a distance it appears to me that the only cars that did sell at Brooklands were the good examples of the model/marque which had reasonable guide prices. I would be interested to know what the B20 max bid was?
Chris Title: Re: Wanted Lancia Flavia coupe........request from a member to be. Post by: MARTINIRACING on 02 September, 2014, 01:09:31 PM B20 at Brooklands started at £80k on commission and slowly went to £100k then quickly moved on to next lot, as no interest at that price.
