THE 2007 HAMPSHIRE LMC CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Sunday 16th December 2007.

After a very successful event last Christmas, when we had 50 people attending (the maximum that can be accommodated!) the Hampshire area meeting is once again hosting the very popular Hampshire Christmas Lunch on Sunday 16th December 2007, arrive 12.30 for 1.00pm. The lunch is being held at our regular meeting place, The Bartley Lodge Hotel, off the A377, at Cadnam, near J1 of M27 in the New Forest. Those who have attended before will already know that the hotel manages to deliver an excellent meal in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful wood panelled room that really captures the spirit of Christmas.
What’s more the price is just £16.00 per person (the same as last year!). I will need firm bookings, with names, their menu choices and payment by Wednesday 5th December 2007.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH, CARROT & ONION SOUP
With toasted pumpkin seeds

SALAD OF SMOKED HADDOCK, PRAWNS AND SCALLIONS
With a sweet chilli, lime & coriander dressing

Accompanied by soft fruits & sorbet, glazed with a port wine syrup

Main Course

ROAST BREAST OF TURKEY
With cranberry & chestnut seasoning, sausage & bacon roll, roast potatoes & turkey sauce

SLICED LEG OF LAMB IN MOROCCAN SPICES
On a bed of winter vegetables, rosemary & red wine sauce with roast potatoes

Or

HARICOT, KIDNEY BEAN & CELERIAC GOULASH
With sun dried tomato, onion dumpling & roast potatoes

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS PUDDING
With a rum & vanilla sauce

Just a quick note to say thank you to all those that turned out for the Hampshire Christmas Lunch. We had a full house of 50 attending with some coming quite some distance to attend and all contributed to the fantastic Christmas atmosphere. A quick look in the car park I saw 2 B20 Aurelias, 2 Fulvia Sport Zagatos, and Appia Sport Zagato GTE, Gamma Coupe and Kappa Coupe (apologies for those that I missed - bit is was COLD!!). Nicky and I would like to wish all LMC members and their families a Happy Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
