Title: restoration Post by: Evo1 on 07 January, 2016, 11:34:33 AM Happy new to all and must say it's nice to get back to the grindstone :'( I think i may have asked this question before, i'm looking to get some of the underside running gear (struts, hubs, bracketry, diff cradle, anti roll bars etc etc) stripped off my Delta Evo 1 to have it cleaned up and powder coated/passivated plated etc where necessary. Can anyone recommend a garage/restorer that is familiar with these cars and will do a top job, you can pm me if you want to keep any recommendations confidential, cheers Claudio Title: Re: restoration Post by: Evo1 on 10 January, 2016, 11:34:54 AM wow, I guess from the lack of any reply no one in this club can recommend anyone ??? Title: Re: restoration Post by: lancialulu on 10 January, 2016, 02:10:28 PM More important where are you?
Title: Re: restoration Post by: Evo1 on 10 January, 2016, 02:48:00 PM More important where are you? I'm based in Surrey, would be useful if not too far, but happy to travel a few hours to get it to the right people, only want to do this once ;) Title: Re: restoration Post by: Evo1 on 11 January, 2016, 03:47:40 PM Have been talking to Richard Thorne Classic Cars (they advertise in the club mag) has anyone had any dealings with them, good or bad, pm if you prefer, thanks Title: Re: restoration Post by: frankxhv773t on 11 January, 2016, 07:17:42 PM I believe Zagato Lancia have an excellent reputation but they are located in central London. However if you are willing to travel for an assurance of quality work that shouldn't be a problem to you. Also I imagine it would be quite easy to get home again by train if you took your car there.
Further afield both Tanc Barratt in Kidderminster and Walkers in north Yorkshire are well known and, I believe, well respected. Can anybody comment on Auto Integrale in Reading? Are they an offshoot from the former Mike Spence Lancia specialist where I bought my HPE Volumex back in the eighties? Title: Re: restoration Post by: RoddersS on 11 January, 2016, 07:53:40 PM Have sent a pm

I've heard mixed reviews regarding Zagato ??? i did speak to Keith of Auto Integrale last year but he was setting up an MOT station at the time and too busy with getting new ramps set up, i have spoken to him recently and it seems he's split from his businness partner with the bodyshop and is running an MOT businness but still looking after Integrales ??? I know of Walkers and Tanc Barratt, i dont mind travelling but was looking for some feedback from anyone that has had work done with these people whether good or bad, all pm's will kept strictly confidential Title: Re: restoration Post by: frankxhv773t on 12 January, 2016, 11:36:52 AM I am glad you are starting to get some useful responses and information. This is what a good club and forum should be about.

This is what a good club and forum should be about. spot on, want to avoid using anyone that has'nt got a clue about these cars, hence why any help and advise from members is very useful, just need to hear from anyone thats used walkers and tanc barratt and who to trust with my car Title: Re: restoration Post by: Kevinlincs on 13 January, 2016, 11:46:17 PM omicron have a great reputation, been there myself so know they are proper guys, maybe a bit far for you though?
near Norwich http://www.omicron.uk.com/ Title: Re: restoration Post by: neil-yaj396 on 14 January, 2016, 06:12:05 AM I think Walkers focus more on sales and service rather than restoration.
Title: Re: restoration Post by: Evo1 on 14 January, 2016, 09:48:20 AM Have spoken with Omicron, who do seem like a good outfit, however, they are too busy to take it on board, Walkers did quote, but got the impression that restos is not realy thier thing. Have had some good recommendations from members that i will look into. Has anyone ever used Tanc Barratt? How long should it take to remove the engine, can it be dropped dowm below with all the struts/suspension if the car is on a 2 post ramp, would have thought no more than 5/6 hours Title: Re: restoration Post by: Jai Sharma on 24 February, 2016, 10:30:46 PM 50 hours!
Crikey! Title: Re: restoration Post by: Parisien on 24 February, 2016, 10:39:09 PM 50 hours......hhhmmmmmmmm.....must be in cahoots with the same firm I asked for a quote off in Italy!
Breathtaking really..... Hence the 50 hours, simples.... Peter Title: Re: restoration Post by: frankxhv773t on 25 February, 2016, 08:15:14 PM That sounds rather like "how many men would it take to change a (head) light bulb".
