Title: Re: Worth a look. Post by: Dilambdaman on 01 April, 2016, 11:16:31 AM Impressive! Having gone through a similar process in 6 months with our Fanalone (albeit without a professional workshop or a comparable budget!) I can fully appreciate the unrelenting pressure they were under.

Post by: Martin D on 01 April, 2016, 01:34:38 PM Ok, stupid question from someone who hasn't restored a Fulvia (yet!) : They stripped it down, repaired bits of bodywork, painted the shell, installed engine and lots of bits, then masked it all off to paint it again ! Why not paint it once without the bits on ? Martin. Title: Re: Worth a look. Post by: SanRemo78 on 01 April, 2016, 09:01:24 PM Maybe they marked the paint in a few places on the initial rebuild? When I built the Stratos replica it was basically fully built then stripped back to a chassis/body for paint. Once it came back it's (almost) a pleasure putting it all back together again knowing that everything is there!

Well to my eye and unless their camera is way off, there are two cars in the sequence as the original shell is painted a red and the second painting looks like maroon to me. Also at the end of the sequence you see a maroon one as well with the number 8. Peter Title: Re: Worth a look. Post by: Richard Fridd on 10 April, 2016, 05:46:25 PM I rather llike the door cards and heat shielded front brake pipes. Probably would have run brake/fuel pipes interally. Nice metalwork.
