Can anybody tell me how the rear quarter light is fitted in a Fulvia S2 Coupe?

I've removed most of the trim from my car and am left just with the rear quarter lights.  I've removed the trim strips from the inside of the B pillar, and I've disconnected the over-centre chrome catch.  I thought the quarter light glass would then pull free but it doesn't.  I don't want to exert a lot of force until I know how the unit is fitted.  The ends of two bolts show in the B pillar (see picture below).  Attached to each is an odd looking clip.  Do these clips need to be removed, and if so how?

As always, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

The bottom fastener in your picture is a nut, screw it anti clockwise with a pronged tool to undo.
There should be another fastener the same at the top.
Best to keep the window closed with the over center catch attached whilst you undo the nuts so the window does not drop out!!

Brilliant.  Thanks for that information.  The fastening looked like some sort of clip (rather than a nut) and I didn't want to risk breaking it by trying to lever it off!  Once I knew it was a nut things became more straightforward, though my various needle nosed pliers all flexed too much to exert enough leverage.  I used a mole wrench to stiffen the pliers (see first picture) and that worked a treat - so the quarter lights are now out.

I have one more question.  The only remaining trim to be removed from the car are the rubber strips running from the back of the B pillar down to the corner of the quarter lights - the right hand one is shown in picture 2.  All of the other rubber seals that I've removed have been push-fit.  I've tried levering this one out but with no luck and I don't want to use more force in case it's fixed in place differently than the others.  Can anybody advise whether or not it is indeed push-fit?

Problem solved. The trim strip was just a lot tighter than all of the others. With a bit more leverage it came away.

I have a Special Screwdriver for such things (as in dismantling a Lambda starter motor) - a normal screwdriver with a bit filed out of the end!

I have too for fitting brake shoe springs....

Same thing for the B20 rear side window trims!!!! It is a very special tool and I even know where it is .... I think!!!

I wonder if Lancia had a different special tool for each different application????
