Are we assuming it comes with that number plate? If that was its original registration it would have too! So thats why its £15K over priced.... ;D P Title: Re: "Very rare Lancia Flaminia" ..1966 Touring coupe GT...restoration project Post by: mgmalatt on 31 July, 2016, 01:33:12 PM Mr Buckley again, having recently sold off his cache of Flaminia parts and the basket-case GT shell that was out the front of his lock-up, is now offloading this one and buying Bristols (ref C&SC p41). Is this grounds for excommunication? ;)

I was there to inspect and verify the vehicles for UK registration and was amazed that the worse of the two cars was apparently going to be restored. It was much worse that this car and to be honest, as far as I could see all the steel in the construction of the car had rusted away and much of the aluminium body was like dust.
The estimated restoration cost of each vehicle was 6 figures.....and the first figure was a 2!! To this cost had to be added the purchase cost of each vehicle. Nevertheless the restorer was emphatic that the owner was proceeding. True enthusiasts don't do thing's like this for profit.........but on the other hand what will the cars actually be worth when they are finished? It was stores in a container for 25 years - exhumed in 2012. Looks like nobody is brave enough to get stuck in since then. The plate was sold off 25 years ago I'm sorry to say. It's original ref was 595 GLA according to the guy who rescued it.
