Title: Support for Fulvia body after front subframe removal Post by: Rosco on 20 January, 2017, 12:02:57 PM Hello all,
I'm gearing up to drop my Zagato's front subframe, and want to build a frame (on castors) to support the body once it's lifted off. Are there any guides for dimensions, and where best to support? Any help much appreciated, Rosco Title: Re: Support for Fulvia body after front subframe removal Post by: simonandjuliet on 20 January, 2017, 02:45:35 PM Have you got the Fulvia workshop manual ?
Couple of photos from mine, there are more pages that cover the replacement of the subframe boxes if they need doing. However you coul make up a frame/jig using the original data Title: Re: Support for Fulvia body after front subframe removal Post by: Rosco on 20 January, 2017, 05:10:53 PM Thanks Simonandjuliet!
I've got all my bits for constructing it now, and with those diagrams I can crack on. I don't have the Fulvia workshop manual, where can I source one? Cheers, Ross. I'm creating an H-frame on (lockable and swivelling) castors to attach to the two front and two rear subframe mounting points; this'll allow me to move the body around relatively easily, and get it on a trailer. How long are the mounting point bolts, and are they the same front and rear? I just want to ensure the frame is the correct thickness. Ta, Ross. The front mounting bolts are 100mm long in the shank, the rears 110 mm.

I have the Fulvia manual that Tim is describing on E-Bay but it doesn`t have the diagrams that you are showing. The chassis diagrams only date to 17/11/64 and yours show 1970? Also there is nothing about replacing the subframe boxes, in fact I cannot see anything relating to my 1600HF series 2 . I find the manual not a lot of use really. Am I missing something? The Tavola doesn`t show the boxes either, no part numbers or descriptions, just numbers that don`t relate to anything do they? The workshop manual that I have is a very old version as produced by Peter Gerrish in 1977 (ish), with a fair number of additional typed pages. Is this now available on the CD version that Tim refers to ? Sorry but I haven't a copy of the CD to compare Title: Re: Support for Fulvia body after front subframe removal Post by: Jaydub on 23 January, 2017, 01:55:18 PM Thanks for the reply Simon. I don`t know about the CD either.
