Title: removing the lock on the fuel filler flap ? Post by: cyborg7 on 25 May, 2017, 08:17:08 PM Hi, I need to remove this ready for respraying, but it seems to have a castillated ring nut. I'm guessing that this might be yet another Lancia special tool? ::) I don't have anything like a milling machine so am a bit limited. Is there anyway of getting hold of one of these or suggestions for making something to fit?

The club does not have a special tool for this although some Fulvia restoring members might have made one.

Post by: cyborg7 on 27 May, 2017, 09:58:27 PM Thanks all - brother-in-law managed to get it off with some waterpump pliers, but only after 2 days of soaking with plusgas releasing fluid. Didn't spot the circlip suggestion, but that might well have worked in hindsight to get in the notches. The respray that had been done previously before clearly hadn't managed to remove it, so really pleased that we succeeded.
